Fernando’s first stand-up comedy performance was at a 6th grade talent show. He got his first laugh as he dealt with a heckler and has been hooked to making people laugh ever since.
His versatility in stage performance earned him the Angelo Moore award when graduating from Fundamentals of Improvisation with Shannon Winpenny in 2009. After completion of the program, he continued to work at Laughtrack Theater with his comedy troupe, Chocolate Squirrel. It was with this foundation he began experimenting with sketch comedy and directed/starred in his own 45 minute live sketch comedy show, Red Cup Diaries.
With stand-up comedy being his first love, he returned to the mic and has supported such nationally known comedians as Brian Posehn, Todd Barry and Rhys Darby. His comedy album, Wait, it gets better! is available on Pass Out Records.
